dawnovva ~ hex this mess

clean and have fun, too!

Let me tell you something I wish someone had told me sooner.

It’s not that I’m lazy.
It’s not that I don’t care enough.
It’s not that I just need more discipline.

Sometimes my nervous system simply does not want to initiate boring tasks alone.

And if you have ADHD, burnout, grief, anxiety, depression, or just a modern human brain carrying too much… chores can feel like trying to push a couch up a hill with your face.

try cleaning with a buddy

when it helps

Hex this mess exists because my brain will absolutely fold laundry if I’m not doing it alone.

Hex this mess is what I call it when I use body doubling + a little humor + a cozy container to flip the switch from stuck to moving.

It’s not a productivity flex. It’s a practical little charm for the modern nervous system:

    1. show up
    2. name one task
    3. do a sprint
    4. celebrate what moved

how i do it

So here’s the hack that makes it weirdly easier.

Do the thing with someone else present.

That’s it. That’s the doorway.

I call my version hex this mess because sometimes you need a little charm, a little defiance, and a little humor to get your life back under you.
